How does this hair removal work in practice?
The 3Action Laser features a powerful combination of Alexandrite, Diode, and Nd:Yag emitted in a single shot, reaching deep into the skin to target the hair root without destroying the skin’s melanin (the protein that gives skin its color and protects our DNA from ultraviolet radiation damage).
What are the contraindications for hair removal?
- Pregnancy, recent childbirth, and breastfeeding.
- Autoimmune diseases.
- Being immunosuppressed.
- Active skin infections (herpes zoster or simplex, chickenpox, contagious impetigo).
- Skin conditions and/or dermatopathies (vitiligo, psoriasis, eczema, localized boils).
- Chronic diseases, kidney disease, liver disease, epilepsy, heart disease, pacemakers, and/or metal plates below the area to be treated.
- Diseases related to photosensitivity, porphyria, erythema multiforme, solar urticaria, lupus.
- Cancer or precancerous lesions.
- Treatment with isotretinoin-based medication (less than 6 months ago) and antibiotics (less than a week ago).
- Co2 laser, Erbium YAG or dermabrasion treatments in the area to be treated (less than 6 months ago).
What precautions should be taken before treatment?
Avoid sun exposure, tanning beds, or self-tanning products one week before and one week after treatment.
Exfoliate your skin once a week to prevent ingrown hairs and the accumulation of dead skin cells.
Shave with a razor or depilatory cream 3 to 5 days before the session.
On the day of the session, DO NOT apply creams.
IMPORTANT NOTE: The more hydrated your skin is, the less painful the session will be and the fewer sessions will be needed to remove the hair.
Moisturize your skin every day, especially 3 days before the laser session, to prevent your skin from becoming dry and fragile, ensuring greater effectiveness and comfort during the session.
Drink plenty of water to help keep your skin hydrated.
What precautions should be taken after treatment?
Do not shave (or use any other hair removal method) for 3 to 5 days after the laser session, as the skin will be more fragile due to the laser treatment.
Exfoliate your skin once a week to prevent ingrown hairs and the accumulation of dead skin cells.
Avoid sun exposure, tanning beds, or self-tanning products for one week after treatment.
Apply sunscreen to your face and body every day during the hair treatment period when exposed to the sun.
Moisturize your skin every day, especially 3 days after the laser session.
